Sr. Sales Engineer

Location: Arlington, Virginia

Responsibilities

The CyberSponse Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for explaining complex technical topics to an audience and network environments with varying technical comprehension. Candidates will provide product demonstrations, pre­sales support, and partner with CyberSponse Account Executives & Executives to successfully evangelize CyOPs. The team member will serve as a trusted consultant and advisor to our customers and must have hands-on technical skills with knowledge of security ecosystem.

As a Sr. Sales Engineer, the main responsibilities are:

  • Assist sales team through preparation and delivery of technical presentations and statements of work by matching specific client business requirements with effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospects.
  • Create relationships with key decision makers and serve as external technical spokesperson.
  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of the live assistance/customer experience industry to stay aware of trends, issues and competition.
  • Explain findings and recommendations to technical and non­technical audiences.
  • Build prototypes, POCs and use cases and provide product demos.
  • Gather and share product feedback from Pre­Sales gates.

  • Minimum of 3 years of technical support or development experience:
    • Cyber Security Frameworks
    • Hands on IT knowledge with REST and SOAP APIs
    • Basic understanding of Application Integration
    • Supporting SaaS applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio
  • Principle knowledge of website construction, including HTML, JavaScript and CSS, understanding of OS and browser distinctions and how third-party software and plugins work with browsers (e.g. Flash), basic website troubleshooting and use of browser developer tools
  • Understanding of Network protocols and experience diagnosing connection-related issues
  • Customer Support experience including knowledge base and support ticket administration and using remote support tools like Freshdesk and TargetProcess
  • Understanding of and experience with client software/implementation testing
  • Experience with Server management and Domain/Active Directory administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CISSP or SANS certification preferred
  • Ability to travel occasionally

Technical Experiences Required

  • Experience on Python and other scripting languages
  • Experience on Data Structure
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in related discipline. Computer Science or Engineering degree preferred

Advantages

  • Experience with SIEMs, and/or advanced analytics technologies (e.g. SPLUNK, ArcSight, QRadar etc.)
  • Understanding for security event analysis and intrusion detection (IDS/IPS Incident response, triage, incident analysis and remediation
  • Cyber Security Incident Response Experience / Knowledge / Plan Architecture
  • CISSP or SANS certifications
